Hello, I’m Sonal

A qualified integrative counsellor & psychotherapist. I run a global practice working with adults and soon couples. I am bilingual but at the moment only offer therapy in English.

Many of my clients struggle with stress, anxiety, low self-esteem, overwhelm, shame, identity, disconnection, anger and grief. To name a few! There is often a desire to feel joy more easily and to connect to and know who they really are.

Some arrive in therapy due to past issues, trauma and the aftermath invading life now. Often, there are stresses at work, family, in-laws or life circumstances and feeling immense pressure.

This comes within and we work with the intersectionality of identity, family dynamics and wider society.

My intention will always be to keep your goals for therapy in mind and for us to discover resources alongside your sessions, to cultivate your inner resilience, strengths, curiousity and compassion. To move from a place of stuck-ness, stress or struggle to choice and flexibility.

In our sessions together, we will untangle what is happening, the impact it is having and get to the roots of what this is connected to.

We will be identifying your patterns, beliefs, blocks and pain points involved, to bring awareness, reframing and a way forward.

I listen to what we sometimes can’t find words for but feel. Connecting to a deeper sense of what you may be contending with and who you are.

Therapy can engage and connect us to feelings which are challenging, and so, I check in with you and we work at a consciously considered pace. We will figure out together what you need to move forward and how this can happen, keeping in mind what you want and feel as we go.

Sessions for individual therapy are usually:

  • Online via Zoom, inperson in the UAE possible (soon!)

  • 50 minutes

  • Usually weekly

  • Long or short term options available
