Approach
My background includes 10+ years’ experience of working within the field of and with, individuals experiencing and responding to change in mental health, family issues, trauma, abuse and sexual violence. My years within these roles have informed my approach as a counsellor now.
I work with a core base of understanding and including who you are, your history/background/identity/current situation with how you feel in your body, whether disconnected or connected. I am interested in the internalised messages you have and how you operate in the world and experience those around you.
In the room I am present with you by listening carefully to what you say and what you may be feeling /non verbal impact. I will explore and discuss with you what you bring to the session, sometimes with challenges, intended to support you and your therapy process.
I work mainly with a relational, psychodynamic and body interested lens.
